What TV shows did you watch as a kid?

Spending my most part of childhood during 90’s I considered myself lucky because we only had option to watch on tv and nothing else. And watching on TV was very adventurous as we compare it with today. I would like to share some of my big list of favorite shows.

During the 1990s, there were several TV shows that gained immense popularity among kids. Here are some of the most famous ones from that era:

  1. Power Rangers: “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” premiered in 1993 and became a massive hit. It combined live-action sequences with Japanese footage of superheroes battling villains.
  2. Pokemon: “Pokemon” first aired in the late 1990s and quickly became a global phenomenon. The show followed Ash Ketchum’s journey to become a Pokemon Master.
  3. SpongeBob SquarePants: Although it started in the late ’90s, the show gained significant popularity in the early 2000s. It features the underwater adventures of SpongeBob and his friends in Bikini Bottom.
  4. Rugrats: Premiering in 1991, this animated series followed the humorous escapades of a group of babies and toddlers.
  5. Animaniacs: This animated sketch comedy series introduced zany characters like Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, and it was known for its clever humor.
  6. Doug: “Doug” followed the life of a young boy named Doug Funnie and his experiences as he navigated through school and family life.
  7. The Magic School Bus: An educational show that took students on exciting and educational adventures with their eccentric teacher, Ms. Frizzle.
  8. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: This show, based on the popular comic book characters, continued to captivate kids in the ’90s with its action-packed adventures.
  9. Saved by the Bell: While aimed at a slightly older audience, this teen sitcom was still popular among kids for its comedic portrayal of high school life.
  10. Hey Arnold!: A show that revolved around the life of Arnold, a fourth-grader who lived in a boarding house with a diverse group of characters.
  11. Goosebumps: Based on R.L. Stine’s horror books for kids, this anthology series provided spooky and suspenseful stories.
  12. Batman: The Animated Series: This darker take on Batman introduced a new generation of kids to the iconic superhero.
  13. Captain Planet and the Planeteers: An animated series that combined action and environmental messages as a group of young heroes fought to protect the planet.
  14. The Simpsons: Although not specifically a kids’ show, many children still watched this animated sitcom with their families due to its humor and relatable characters.
  15. Beavis and Butt-Head: This animated series was popular among older kids and teenagers, though it often raised controversy due to its content.

These are just a few examples of TV shows that were popular among kids during the 1990s. The era had a diverse range of shows across different genres, offering something for every young viewer’s interests.
